As the core power system of Isuzu fire water truck, the structure and performance of fire pump are directly related to the efficiency and safety of fire fighting and rescue. Fire pumps are mainly divided into low-pressure pumps, medium-pressure pumps and high-pressure pumps, and each pump has its specific working pressure range and application scenarios. Low-pressure pumps are usually used for large-flow water supply and are suitable for large-area fire fighting; medium-pressure pumps take into account the balance of flow and pressure and can cope with medium-sized fires; high-pressure pumps are mainly used for precise fire fighting and special scenarios, such as high-rise buildings or complex terrain.

For parallel pump medium- and low-pressure Isuzu fire trucks, if low-pressure water supply is used, the method of use is the same as that of low-pressure Isuzu fire figthing trucks. If medium-pressure water supply is used, when the pump is running at low speed, switch the series-parallel conversion handle from the "parallel" position at the start to the "series" position, and adjust the throttle so that the water pressure and flow meet the requirements of the water gun or the medium-pressure hose reel and medium-pressure water gun. It should be noted that when the series-parallel conversion handle is switched between "parallel" and "series", the pump speed must be reduced first, otherwise, forced conversion may damage the pump's structural parts.

For the medium- and low-pressure Isuzu fire water trucks with series pumps, if only low-pressure water supply is used, the method of use is the same as that of the low-pressure Isuzu fire water tank truck. If only medium-pressure water flow is used, there is no need to open the low-pressure water outlet, but only need to open the valve on the connecting pipe between the low-pressure pump and the medium-pressure pump, and then open the valve on the medium-pressure water outlet pipe or the medium-pressure hose reel valve, and adjust the throttle so that the water pressure and flow meet the requirements of the water gun or the medium-pressure hose reel and the medium-pressure water gun. If medium and low pressure are to be used together, open the low-pressure water outlet valve, the valve on the connecting pipe between the low-pressure pump and the medium-pressure pump, the valve on the medium-pressure water outlet pipe or the medium-pressure hose reel valve at the same time, and adjust the throttle so that the water pressure and flow meet the requirements of the water gun or the medium-pressure hose reel and the medium-pressure water gun.

For high and low pressure Isuzu fire water truck, if only low pressure water supply is used, the method of use is the same as that of low pressure water tank fire truck. If only high pressure hose reel is used, there is no need to open the low pressure water outlet, but only need to open the valve on the connecting pipe between low pressure pump and high pressure pump, open the high pressure hose reel valve, and adjust the throttle to make the water pressure and flow meet the requirements of high pressure hose reel and high pressure water gun. If high and low pressure are used together, open the low pressure water outlet valve, the valve on the connecting pipe between low pressure pump and high pressure pump, and the high pressure hose reel valve at the same time, and adjust the throttle to make the water pressure and flow meet the requirements of water gun and medium pressure hose reel and high pressure water gun.

Structurally, modern fire pumps adopt modular design, including pump body, transmission system, adjustment mechanism and control system. The pump body is usually made of high strength and corrosion resistant materials, such as stainless steel or special alloys, to ensure durability in harsh environments. The transmission system is usually driven directly by the vehicle engine, and power transmission is achieved through the gearbox and special transmission shaft. The regulating mechanism is a key component of the pump, including the series-parallel conversion mechanism, the throttle control system and the pressure regulating valve, which together ensure that the pump can quickly and accurately adjust the water delivery pressure and flow rate. The pump system plays a decisive role in the overall performance of the Isuzu fire fighting truck. An excellent pump system requires not only efficient hydraulic performance, but also reliability, rapid response and ease of operation. Pumps of different pressure levels cooperate with each other, enabling the Isuzu fire truck to quickly adapt to different fire fighting scenarios, from city streets to complex industrial areas, from low-rise buildings to high-rise buildings.

From the perspective of operation, it mainly includes the following: single pressure water supply mode, multi-pressure combined water supply mode, self-priming mode and pressurization mode. The single pressure mode is suitable for standard fire fighting scenarios; the multi-pressure combined mode can use water flows of different pressures at the same time, greatly improving the flexibility of fire fighting; the self-priming mode enables the Isuzu fire truck to quickly pump water from various water sources; the pressurization mode can overcome the problem of insufficient water source pressure.

It is worth noting that modern fire pumps also integrate intelligent control systems that can monitor the operating status of the pump in real time, including key parameters such as speed, pressure, temperature, etc. These data can not only help operators make the best decisions, but also detect potential equipment failures in time through early warning systems, thereby improving overall rescue safety.
