The water spraying and fire extinguishing system of the water tank fire truck is its core functional part, which is mainly composed of water tanks, fire pumps, fire cannons, fire hoses and water guns. These components work together to ensure that the fire truck can complete the fire extinguishing task quickly and efficiently.
Water tank
• Capacity: The water tank is the water storage equipment of the fire truck. The water tank capacity of the Isuzu Juka 8 cubic water tank fire truck is 8 cubic meters. It is made of high-quality carbon steel material and has the characteristics of corrosion resistance and high strength.
• Structure: The inside of the water tank is usually divided into multiple compartments to prevent the water from shaking when the vehicle is driving and affecting stability.
• Water inlet: There is a water inlet on the top of the water tank, which can be quickly replenished with water through a fire hydrant or other external water source.
• Water outlet: There is a water outlet at the bottom of the water tank, which is connected to the fire pump through a pipe to provide water for fire extinguishing operations.
Fire pump
• Model and performance: The vehicle is equipped with a CB10/40 fire pump with a flow rate of 40 liters/second and a rated pressure of 1.0MPa, which can meet the needs of efficient fire fighting.
• Working principle: The fire pump is driven by the engine to pump water from the water tank or external water source, and then pressurizes it and delivers it to the fire monitor or fire hose.
• Operation method: The operation panel of the fire pump is usually located in the pump room, and firefighters can adjust the water pressure and flow through the control panel.
• Versatility: The fire pump can not only draw water from the water tank, but also connect to an external water source (such as a fire hydrant, river, etc.) through the water inlet to ensure the continuity of the fire fighting operation.
Fire monitor
• Model and performance: The vehicle is equipped with a PS8/40W fire monitor with a flow rate of 40 liters/second and a range of more than 60 meters, covering a wide range.
• Control method: The fire monitor can be operated manually or remotely to adjust the spray angle (horizontally 360 degrees, pitching -30 degrees to +70 degrees) and spray mode (direct current or spray).
◆ Direct current mode: Suitable for long-distance firefighting, with concentrated water flow and strong impact.
◆ Spray mode: Suitable for large-area coverage or cooling, with dispersed water flow and wide coverage.
◆ Installation location: Fire monitors are usually installed on the top of vehicles to cover large fire areas.
Fire hoses and water guns
• Fire hoses:
The water hose is a flexible pipe connecting the fire pump and the water gun, usually made of high-strength fiber or rubber, which is pressure-resistant and wear-resistant.
The length and diameter of the water hose are configured according to demand. The common diameter is 65mm or 80mm, and the length is generally 20 meters or 30 meters.
• Fire water gun:
The water gun is a handheld firefighting tool for firefighters. By adjusting the nozzle of the water gun, multiple spray modes such as direct current, spray or blooming can be achieved.
The water gun is flexible to operate and is suitable for scenes inside buildings, narrow areas or where precise firefighting is required.
Water spraying and fire extinguishing workflow
1. Start the fire pump: After the firefighters arrive at the fire scene, they enter the pump room and start the CB10/40 fire pump.
2. Select the water source: The fire pump draws water from the water tank or external water source, pressurizes it and delivers it to the fire monitor or fire hose.
3. Spray fire extinguishing:
◆ Fire monitor fire extinguishing: The firefighters operate the PS8/40W fire monitor, adjust the angle and spray mode, and aim at the fire source to extinguish the fire.
◆ Hose fire extinguishing: The firefighters lay the hose, connect the water gun, and enter the fire scene to extinguish the fire at close range.
4. Mission completion: After the fire is extinguished, turn off the fire pump and fire monitor, and recycle the hose and other equipment.
System advantages
• Efficient fire extinguishing: Large-flow fire pumps and long-range fire monitors ensure rapid control of the fire.
• Flexible operation: A variety of spray modes and operation methods are suitable for different fire scenarios.
• Continuous water supply: The combination of water tanks and external water sources ensures the continuity of fire extinguishing operations.
• Strong collaborative combat capability: It can work closely with other firefighting equipment to form a powerful firefighting system and improve the overall firefighting efficiency.
