Remarks:
The working principle of the shock absorber is mainly to use damping force to absorb and attenuate vibrations to improve the ride smoothness and comfort of the car. In suspension systems, shock absorbers are usually installed in parallel with elastic elements (such as springs) to adjust the contradiction between the elastic elements and the shock absorber. When relative movement occurs between the frame (or body) and the axle, the piston in the shock absorber will move up and down in the shock absorber cavity, causing the oil in the shock absorber cavity to repeatedly pass through different pores from one cavity flows into another cavity. In this process, the friction between the hole wall and the oil and the internal friction between the oil molecules will form a damping force on the vibration, converting the vehicle vibration energy into oil heat energy, which is then absorbed by the shock absorber and dissipated into the atmosphere.
During the compression stroke, the axle and frame are close to each other, and the damping force of the shock absorber is small, which can fully exert the elastic effect of the elastic element and alleviate the impact. During the suspension's extension stroke, the axle and frame move away from each other, and the damping force of the shock absorber should increase to quickly reduce vibration. In addition, when the relative speed between the axle or the wheel and the axle is too large, the shock absorber can automatically increase the fluid flow to keep the damping force within a certain limit to avoid bearing excessive impact loads.
