Fire pumps and fire monitors are the core firefighting equipment on fire trucks. They work together to quickly and efficiently deliver fire extinguishing agents (water or foam) to the fire scene for firefighting operations.
★. Working Principle of Fire Pump
The core function of fire pump is to extract and pressurize fire extinguishing agents from water sources (such as fire hydrants, pools, etc.) and deliver them to fire cannons or other firefighting equipment. Its working principle is mainly based on centrifugal force:
●. Water suction process: After the fire pump is started, the impeller rotates at high speed, forming a negative pressure in the pump chamber, and sucking water into the pump from the suction pipe.
